Welcome Back for our 16th year of ACA! What a joy it has been this week to see those smiling faces on Tuesday. Everyone seemed excited to see their friends and new teachers. I have heard a lot of “awesomes” in the hall about the new projection systems and laptops from teachers and students. These were very graciously donated by Virtual Communications (Mr. and Mrs. Paul Benson). We are very grateful to them for their generous donations to the academy each year. Boy, are we lucky or what!
A special “thank you” to all the parents who have brought fans to keep our minds and bodies cool so we can learn some great new things! (Do we have awesome parents or what!)
- Friday, September 2nd is a free dress day. Please check your handbooks for dress code on this day.
- Monday, September 5th is Labor Day and a school holiday—wow, already!
- Tuesday, September 6th is the first soccer game of the season and it is being played here at Coleman Park against Lighthouse Christian from Canton. Come on out and support our Warriors. Concessions could possibly be open so bring your pennies….game time is 4:30. If not, come prepared with water bottles.
- Students may wear regular uniforms on Tuesday, Sept. 6th. Chapel is being postponed for a few weeks due to the air conditioning situation in the sanctuary. We will let you know so you can come join us for worship. This is a fun and exciting time for the students. Mrs. Dooley does a wonderful job getting us motivated!
- Remember students are only allowed to wear the warrior tshirts during the week except chapel days, and spirit days will begin soon. Students really look forward to those days. Conservative knee socks and leggings (solid colors–red, navy, black, white, cream, off-white, brown, and hunter green are to be worn this year. Please save special “cool” socks and leggings for free dress day.
- The Rodeo Monogram Shop is still taking orders for the warrior tshirts. Please be sure to get your order in for short and long t’s as well as any jackets that need monogramming for fall. Hopefully it won’t be long before we need these….:) The order will probably go out this week. Please check with them.
- Please remember to pull through the ROC parking lot and wait your turn to cross under the portico at the treehouse. You can drop off from 7:35 to 8:05 by pulling through. If you drop off any earlier the early morning room is not open until 7:35 and Weekday is allowed to park under portico until 7:30 and after 8:05 to unload their babies. So try to pull through during those times. If the cone is out at the end of the hall this means all students are to report to the Early Morning Room at the top of the 3rd floor stairs each morning. I will release at 8:00 to classes. Students are tardy after 8:05.
